meet the coach
Carrine swam competitively at a young age which started her passion for sport. This passion took her on a journey of working in sport as well as an academic career in Biology, and a degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
Carrine took up Triathlon in 2007, as a new hobby and instantly fell in love with the sport. Although she had a very successful racing career she did come across a few set backs in the form of over training and injury. It is Carrine's personal journey and lessons learnt over this time that sparked her interest and passion in coaching others.
Carrine has learned to train around full time shift work, has returned to successful racing and participation after two children and continues to train around a busy job and family life. It is this experience that makes her knowledge and understanding so invaluable as a coach.
Carrine believes that she can get the best out of her athletes especially those that are time poor. Above all else she aims to teach, guide and empower her athletes whilst maintaining the fun and excitement of sport.
My coaching ethos
"I love helping women achieve their goals".
Through my career in sport I have experienced many different coaching styles and have myself coached a variety of different people. I have taken this experience, and that of being a busy mother, and used it to provide a coaching platform built on empathy, enthusiasm and professionalism.
It is so important to set realistic goals, achievable training plans and coaching that creates fitness gains, teaches new skills and most importantly keeps it fun!!
I pride myself on creating 1-1 training plans that are specific to each athletes needs. Especially those ladies who are time poor and have hectic life's.
